Diary from the Mountain: From The Eyes of Tomorrow

Rajiv K. Mishra,
Jawaharlal Nehru University

One can imagine life in Ladakh with beauty and exquisiteness, from the artistic senses and from the pulchritude of natural surrounding. The mountains appeal to the senses, the grandeur of its existence narrates the tales of its people and the endless possibility of life. The existence of joy in this picturesque land is bonny to the eyes of the observer and the traveler. The environment is a place for eternal peace, a place where we get mesmerised by the greatness of the mountains around us. The serene and placid natural surrounding speaks to the senses that it will always stand with its people, the children and their dreams of hope. The natural artistry of this land is enshrined in the ebullience which one can see in the eyes of the children. Reflection of the peaks of mountains in the visions of pinnacles which they will achieve in their life. The joy of tomorrow was so much visible in their eyes. This joy was also telling the legends of mountains and the prominence of life in the mountains. There was so much happiness in their presence, so much purity that it will make anyone realise that these children were so much filled with hope and future that their tomorrow cannot be dark. They will snatch the lights of hope and happiness from the clutches of darkness in a way where the mountains rise and touch the zeniths of sky.
