Art: Video

Vineet Kacker is a ceramics artist with formal training in Architecture. His work is inspired by the landscape, spiritual spaces and iconography of the Himalayas. His works is about mixing different techniques. The amalgamation of the old and the new, experiments with the matt and glossy and the inferences to the obvious and the metaphoric slide seamlessly in his artworks.Vineet is a Fulbright scholar and his work has been exhibited widely, and is a part of several collections notably the Museum ofContemporary Ceramics at Icheon, Korea, and the IndianCeramics Museum at FLICAM, Fuping, China.He talks to our guest interviewer, Kathryn Myers,Professor of Art, The University of Connecticut-Storrs.
